Welcome to CareLog ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, used, and safeguarded when you use the CareLog mobile application (the "App").
2. The "Offline-First" Guarantee (No Data Collection)
CareLog is designed as a strict "Local-First" and "Offline-First" application. We do not collect, transmit, store, or share any of your personal or health data on external servers. All data entered into CareLog—including but not limited to names, medication logs, symptom tracking, mood journals, and incident reports—is stored locally and exclusively on your personal device using local database encryption provided by your device's operating system.
3. Third-Party Services
Because the App operates offline, we do not integrate with third-party tracking, advertising, or data brokerage services.
- Analytics: We do not use third-party analytics (like Google Analytics or Mixpanel) to track your usage behavior within the App.
- Crash Reporting: The App does not automatically send crash reports to external servers.
4. App Permissions
To function properly, the App may request the following device permissions:
- Notifications/Alarms: To provide local, on-device reminders for medications or care tasks.
- Storage (Optional): If you choose to export your data locally to a PDF or CSV file on your device.
These permissions are handled locally by your operating system, and we do not receive any data from them.
5. Data Security & Retention
Because your data never leaves your device, the security of your CareLog data relies entirely on the security of your physical device (e.g., your device passcode, FaceID, or fingerprint lock).
- Data Deletion: If you delete the CareLog application from your device, all data stored within the App is permanently deleted. We have no way to recover it for you, as we never possessed it.
6. Children's Privacy
Our App does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13, as we do not collect data from anyone.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
