We believe that privacy is a fundamental human right, especially when it comes to healthcare data. Our approach to data management is simple: we don't manage it. You do.
- check_circle Local Storage: All logs, notes, and records are stored entirely on your device's local encrypted storage.
- check_circle No Cloud Sync: We do not offer native cloud synchronization to prevent accidental exposure of sensitive information.
- check_circle Manual Export: You retain full control to export your data securely as a PDF or encrypted JSON file to share with your healthcare provider.
Anonymous Telemetry
To ensure the app functions correctly and doesn't crash, we use crash reporting tools to collect anonymous technical data:
- data_alert Crash reports (e.g., what line of code caused the app to close unexpectedly).
- data_alert Anonymous UI interaction logs to help us improve navigation.
- gpp_good Crucially: All medical terminology, custom text, and user-generated notes are completely stripped and obfuscated before any technical telemetry is sent. We cannot see what you write.
Security
While we don't transmit your data, we still ensure it is protected while at rest on your device.
CareLog leverages the native security features of your operating system. We strongly recommend enabling biometric authentication (FaceID, TouchID, or equivalent) and maintaining strong device passcodes to ensure the integrity of your digital sanctuary.
Transparency
Our business model is straightforward: we charge a one-time fee for the application (or offer it free with premium upgrades). We do not monetize your data, sell ads, or require ongoing subscriptions.
